VISION & MISSION
There are no labels or assumptions when students walk through the doors; this is a community that strives to love and see others as Jesus does.
We put complete faith in Jesus that He will provide what we need, when we need it, and He will move in students’ hearts as He wills. We pray boldly for His will to be done.
We encourage growth and challenge each other to succeed. We strive to see every person take one step further in their journey with everything from music, to their social ability, spiritual walk and identity.
We build leaders that are going to replace us! We pour into students who can then go out and pour into others. This also means funneling students to the local church.
We are an open door to non-churched students in Fort Collins and encourage our students to invite others. Our students are the best promotion for Half Step.
We are Brayden and Abby Lans.
We started Half Step in 2016 in our home church in Fort Collins, CO after serving in a similar ministry in Central and Eastern Europe with Josiah Venture. This ministry, called Fusion, was created by Josiah Venture to bring high school aged students into a fun, loving community that shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them and finds its home in the local church. This ministry has been greatly successful at reaching the lost and discipling new young leaders in their faith. We experienced this impact and felt a growing burden to create a similar movement of God in the US; a country that is increasingly becoming more estranged and bitter towards Christ and His church.
